ATLAS STONES - STONES OF STRENGHT
TIRE FLIP
YOKE - YOKE CARRY
POWER STAIRS
FARMERS WALK
It is considered to be mainly a grip event. Strenght and endurance combined in which a competitor carries a heavy weight in each hand over a set distance. The distance traveled sometimes includes turns that could be either a 90 degree or 180 degree turn without dropping down the carried weights. The turn is perhaps the most difficult element of the carry itself since is very hard to interrupt the body's momentum with the extra load of weights to be carried.

Farmer’s Walk True Definition:

Farmer’s Walk is an exercise done by having a dumbbell or weight in hand and walking. Continue walking until the muscles are crying, then walk a little further.
What is atlas stone? - A large perfectly round concrete stone used for strongman competitions, often weighing between 100 - 240 Kg.           The Atlas Stone lifting is a common event in WNSF competitions.
It is done by lifting the stone from the ground onto a platform. It requires great skill to lift. Laszlo FEKETE lifted the Atlas Stone like nobody else! The Atlas Stone lift is the most popular event in WNSF. LASZLO's record still holds at 232.5 Kg!
The tire flip could be one of the most recognizable strongman events in the sport. This event is a test of total body strength, flexibility, endurance, and explosiveness. It closely mimics the starting position of linemen in American football, has tremendous carry over to other sports performance, and is a staple in strongman. Visually, it’s one of the most impressive strength feats for a crowd to watch. Incorrectly, this exercise can easily tear a bicep, but when done correctly, the benefits far outweigh the risks.
Ever seen a picture of a farmer carrying two buckets of water hanging from ropes attached to a stick he's balancing across his shoulders? That stick on his shoulders is a yoke. WNSF's Yoke Carry event means a frame with weights on each side that could weigh from 400 - 500 kg. This awesome and brutal frame needs to be carried strait without or with one drop a distance as long as 15 - 20 meters. The yoke has also become a symbol of oppression — no one wants to live under the yoke of a tyrant's rule.
